Optimus Poker Says Goodbye to the Industry
The Merge Poker Network skin Optimus Poker closes its online door after it was gained by the network. A notice earlier this week by the site has told the players that recently, OptimusPoker coupled with Merge Gaming Limited specific assets that create part of the brand of OptimusPoker. The result of this is that OptimusPoker will stop operating OptimusPoker eu as of May 8th, 2013.
This notice goes on to ensure players that their money is safe and they will regain access to it along with the capability to play on the Merge Gaming Network. Merge Gaming will continue to manage player funds. A like advisory was given to affiliate marketers servicing the brand while also informing them that Merge will not presume that OptimusPoker affiliate network or will they presume OptimusPoker’s responsibilities coming from OptimusPoker’s current affiliate agreements.
They go on to say that the revenue they have gained up until today with OptimusPoker will be awarded as usual but they regretfully state that the change will reflect a new affiliate policy. That means there is a business loss for multiple affiliates that built up clients through Optimus Poker. There was no reasoning expressed for the ownership change but this is not the first Merge skin to recently close.
